Thomas S. Anderson MD

Neurosurgeon (Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery) with expertise in spine surgery. He has extensive experience in both academic and private practice settings, having served as Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of South Carolina and as a neurosurgeon in multiple spine centers in the Carolinas before joining Southeastern Spine in 2014.

Dr. Anderson received a B.A. in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1992. He earned his M.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in 1997, then completed a Neurosurgery residency at the University of Kentucky, finishing in 2003.

Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS).

Dr. Anderson focuses on spinal neurosurgery. His background includes complex spine cases and general neurosurgery, and he brings over a decade of experience to SSI's surgical team. He has held positions ranging from academic medicine to private practice, reflecting a broad expertise in treating cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine conditions.
