Richard F. Frisch MD

Orthopedic Spine Surgeon. He joined the Southeastern Spine Institute in 2011 after serving as Co-Medical Director of the Ochsner Spine Center in New Orleans.

Dr. Frisch earned his M.D. from MCP/Hahnemann School of Medicine in Philadelphia in 2002. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia (2007) and a Spine Surgery fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco in 2008.

Board certified in Orthopedic Surgery since 2010. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society, and has led state professional societies (e.g., President of the SC Orthopedic Association in 2019–2020).

Dr. Frisch's primary focus is on minimally invasive techniques for treating spinal disorders. Through active involvement in research and teaching, he has published multiple papers and book chapters and frequently presents at national and international meetings. He strives to improve patient outcomes with the latest minimally invasive spine surgery approaches.
