Michael D. Mosier MD

Physiatrist with a focus on spine medicine and non-surgical pain management. As a board-certified PM&R physician joining SSI's conservative care team, Dr. Mosier specializes in diagnosing and treating spinal conditions through rehabilitation, image-guided interventions, and other nonsurgical therapies.

Dr. Mosier completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Southern California, earning a B.S. in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention in 2006. He received his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in 2017. Following medical school, he undertook an Internal Medicine internship at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in New York (2017–2018), then completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY (2018–2021), where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. To further subspecialize, Dr. Mosier completed a North American Spine Society-accredited fellowship in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine at OrthoAlabama Spine & Sports in Birmingham, AL (2021–2023) under renowned instructors in the field.

Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR) as of July 2022.

Dr. Mosier is passionate about spine medicine and improving patients' quality of life through nonsurgical treatments. His clinical interests include interventional spine procedures (such as epidural injections, facet blocks, and radiofrequency ablation), musculoskeletal ultrasound diagnostics, and comprehensive rehabilitation plans to manage pain. He emphasizes a patient-centered approach to help individuals return to normal activities without surgery, and he stays current with advancements in spine care through professional societies like NASS and AAPM&R.
